A brief vita

I am like a swiss army knife for marketing and UX, equipped with many functions and knowledge. 

Lutz Rodenberg is a UX designer, marketing expert, and banker with more than thirty years of professional experience. His motto is: The customer is at the beginning and stands for a company's success.


Lutz is a trained marketing expert in direct marketing from the Bavarian Academy for Advertising and Marketing. He has been working in direct marketing for various companies for over 20 years and, during this time, has developed several hundred mailing campaigns in the financial industry. In the beginning, it was mainly print mailings. However, for more than ten years, digital media such as e-mail and website marketing have also been part of the mix.


In 2018, Lutz Rodenberg graduated as Online Marketing Manager (IHK) at the IHK Cologne, which included SEO and AdWords marketing, social media marketing, e-commerce, and online analytics.

Lutz Rodenberg is also a content marketer with a degree in agile content strategy. He works with methods from SCRUM and sprint planning.


By 2021, Lutz is officially a UX designer who graduated from the international school for UX-/UI Design Career Foundry in Berlin. He works according to the design thinking principle and has experience in user research, user lab, ideation of new products and services, and prototyping new products, websites, and apps. He has developed the ideas for a vocabulary app, a finance app, and a real estate app in his education. He applies the experience in his daily work at Fidelity International around customer engagement and optimization of the digital customer experience.


Lutz Rodenberg is a member of the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF), an international association of UX designers for sharing experiences.


His experience has been mainly in the financial industry. This industry is challenging because it involves intangible goods, and a value proposition is usually impossible. In addition, this industry is heavily regulated by lawmakers, which makes marketing and UX particularly challenging.


Lutz has already worked for medium-sized banks, start-ups, and international companies.
